THE TEAM
DR. MICHAEL DUEHRSSEN
Serves currently as the founder and leader of the Tram Project and Radical Rescue development teams. In the future he will also chair the board of directors for the project. Primary responsibilities include vision and research, providing operational funding through his work as an E.R. doctor, public relations and networking, and whatever else needs doing. Dr. Duehrssen's past experience includes over 20 years of medical work, service as a medic on SWAT teams, Search and Rescue technician and instructor trainer, and starting with International Rescue and Relief major at Union College. |
KORY MEIDELL
Currently functions as the Bike Shop's mechanic, guide trainer, and outreach program director. Kory has worked with youth in outdoor programs since graduating from Union College's IRR program in 2008. Experiences include director of outdoor education and outreach at DayStar Adventist Academy, Search and Rescue technician, Emergency Medical Responder, and an avid outdoor recreation enthusiast. |
KELSY CLARIDGE
Wearing many hats, Kelsy serves as the Project's office manager, marketing and promotions graphic designer, artisan craft coordinator for the General Store, and is our current project manager for the cafe'. Kelsy graduated from DayStar Academy and has worked for restaurants and lodge services for a number of years. Her love for travel and culture inspire her creativity of expression, from which the Project greatly benefits. |
JEREMY HANSEN
Currently serves as general manager for the Tram Project: including the Bike Shop, General Store, and Tramway. He also helps with team management and relations. Jeremy graduated from Union College with a degree in International Rescue and Relief; with an emphasis in business. This later inspired him to become a guide in outdoor education. Work experience includes maintenance/grounds keeper, landscaper, survival skills, and outdoor ed. instructor, as well as a brief internship at JoyRide Cycles in Lincoln, NE. |
JASON MELTON
Graduated with a degree in IRR/Human Services & Counseling. He serves as the director of Radical Rescue and was led to the project as a result of his passion to serve young people and connect them to their Creator through radical adventure and service. Jason also serves as assistant boys' dean at DayStar Academy. |
PARTNERS
RADICAL RESCUE is an educational mission program that offers a college minor in Christian Leadership for Communities in Crisis. Students spend the first part of the program in Rad Boot Camp undergoing training in three areas of focus: Rescue And Disaster Response, Restoration And Dependence, and Research And Design.
